The park’s striking hoodoos, spires, and colorful clay formations offer a surreal environment that complements the grandeur of the Milky Way. The park's varied terrain creates endless possibilities for creative compositions.
Start Location: Colorado Springs, CO (Must arrive by 1pm)
End Location: Colorado Springs, CO.
End at dawn at the Paint Mines then the drive to Colorado Springs.
Remember to dress in layers and bring rain gear. Expect warm pleasant days with cold mornings and nights. The weather can prove unpredictable in Colorado and can change on a moment’s notice. In order to photograph the Milky Way and Star Trails we will need to have clear skies. If the weather is not cooperating we will still teach how to photograph the the night skies and may have to photograph the local mountains. There is no such thing as bad weather just poor layering and gear choices – please plan accordingly!
