In the world of photography, timing is everything. Spring in Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons is nothing short of a miracle bursting with new life as nature puts on a grand spectacle. The parks are a sanctuary for a variety of wildlife. The Lamar and Hayden Valleys are among the best places to see large mammals in North America. During the spring, it's not uncommon to spot grizzlies just out of hibernation with their cubs and yearlings. The elk with their calves, bison with their calves nicknamed red dogs, wolves, pronghorn, and bighorn sheep are also possible, offering countless photographic opportunities. The Grand Tetons are not just mountains; they are a symphony of geological wonders, each element contributing to a grander masterpiece. The jagged peaks serve as a dramatic backdrop to the serene lakes at their feet, like Jenny Lake and Jackson Lake, which mirror the sky and the snow caped mountain tops in their calm waters. We will also be photographing the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone along with some geysers and the Grand Daddy of them all The Grand Prismatic.

Remember some of the best photographs are made before, during and immediately after a storm cycle. There is no such thing as bad weather just poor layering and gear choices – please plan accordingly! Make sure you are prepared for rain and snow!
