In the world of photography, timing is everything. And there's no better time to capture the astonishing beauty of Yellowstone than in the Fall, when nature puts on a grand spectacle. The park is a sanctuary for a variety of wildlife. The Lamar and Hayden Valleys are among the best places to see large mammals in North America. During the fall, it's not uncommon to spot grizzlies foraging in preparation for winter, or herds of elk in the midst of their rutting season. Sightings of bison, wolves, pronghorn, and bighorn sheep are also possible, offering countless photographic opportunities. We will be following the rut season looking for opportunities of elk doing battle or bison sparing off. We will also be photographing the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone along with some geysers and the Grand Daddy of them all The Grand Prismatic.
Our guides has spent many years exploring Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons area. They know which roads to take and where to position you to capture incredible images. You may have hear the term "Yellowstone is the Serengeti of the West". Yellowstone is 2,219,789 acres (Larger than Rhode Island and Delaware combined) Wildlife - 7 species of ungulates (bison, moose, elk, pronghorn), 2 species of bear and 67 other mammals, 322 species of birds, 16 species of fish and of course the gray wolf. Plants - There are over 1,100 species of native plants, more than 200 species of exotic plants and over 400 species of thermopholes. Geology - The park is home to one of the world's largest calderas with over 10,000 thermal features and more than 300 geysers. So you can see that Yellowstone offers landscape and wildlife photographer a lifetime of memories.
Out trips start early in the morning and we stay until it's dark. When the sun is rising you will be able to capture some amazing landscape images and wildlife. It is hard to beat the soft morning light. We will be spend the day exploring the Upper and Lower Falls of the Yellowstone, going to the geysers that Yellowstone is famous for. We will also be photographing in the Hayden and Lamar Valleys. Your professional photographer guide will offer expert guidance and instruction throughout the trip, ensuring you capture stunning images while expanding your photography skills.

Weather
Start Location:
Bozeman, Montana. (Must arrive by 2pm)
Travel to Garnder, Montanta
Meet and Greet at 5 pm (in Gardner)
End Location: Bozeman, Montan
Drop off at 1:00pm
Expect warm pleasant days with cold mornings and nights. The weather can prove unpredictable in Yellowstone and can change on a moment’s notice. Remember some of the best photographs are made before, during and immediately after a storm cycle. There is no such thing as bad weather just poor layering and gear choices – please plan accordingly! Make sure you are prepared for rain and snow!

Day 1 Travel Day
Dinner will be provided
If flying, arrive in Bozeman, MT by 2:00pm. We will be traveling to Gardner, Montana for a meet and greet dinner. We will also be going over gear and the itinerary. We will be staying in Gardner MT. for our base location.
Day 2 ( B,D)
We will begin with an early in the morning at Mammoth Hot Spring. Exploring the hot springs while looking for wildlife along the way, from there, we will be making our way to Lamar Valley to start looking for wildlife We will be ending our day in Mammoth photographing wildlife and hopefully a sunset if weather permits.
Day 3 ( B,L,D)
We will have another early morning departure to start making our way to Old Faithful and the Grand Prismatic. Along with way we will be stopping to explore the many geysers including Fire Hole and take a walk on some of the boardwalks. Of course if we see wildlife we will be stopping to photograph them.
Day 4 ( B,D)
Once again we will head out early for our morning sunrise, as we start to make our way to the Upper and Lower Falls of Yellowstone. This is also know as the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. We will always be on the look out for wildlife to photograph. After we photograph the canyon we will be making our way to Hayden Valley to photograph wildlife.
Day 5 ( B,)
This will be our last day of our journey. We will start early to capture the wildlife in Mammoth Hot Springs and the surrounding areas. We will be departing to get back to Bozeman, MT. for anyone that will be flying out.
